# Testing Your Integration

Verifying that your Trybit integration works correctly with your platform.

Test mode turns on automatically after a project is added — it lets you test your integration from start to finish without making real payments or affecting your balance. To turn off test mode, you first need to properly configure your integration and confirm it works by testing payment acceptance.

### How to properly test your integration

1. Create an invoice by placing an order on your website or in your app — that is, using the same method real customers will use. Important: test it exactly this way, not by manually creating an invoice in the "Payments" section of your dashboard — in that case, the integration itself isn't actually tested.
2. In your dashboard, open the "Payments" section and turn on the "Show test invoices" toggle.
3. Find and open the test invoice you created.
4. Click "Confirm Invoice Without Payment."
5. A [POSTBACK](/integration/postback.md) notification about successful payment will be sent to the project's Notification URL, and the invoice status will change to "Paid" — no real funds are credited in this process.

### If the invoice status doesn't change

Check the project's integration settings (API key, Notification URL, connection method). You can view notification delivery history in the "Postback History" section — from there you can also resend a notification, including after exiting test mode.

### After testing is complete

Once your integration is verified and the payment page is configured, submit a request to exit test mode — review takes up to 24 hours. After test mode is turned off, the "Confirm Invoice Without Payment" button stops working: an invoice is confirmed either by full payment from the client, or the merchant manually confirms a partially paid invoice in the dashboard if they agree to accept the amount actually received (see [Invoice Statuses](/payments/invoice-statuses.md)). Test mode can be re-enabled at any time, but you'll then need to resubmit a request to exit test mode to resume accepting real payments.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://support.trybit.com/integration/testing.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
