# Creating Payment Links

How to create a one-off payment link without integration, and how it differs from a widget's permanent link.

A one-off payment link is a way to accept payment without integration: the invoice is created manually in your dashboard, and a ready-made link is sent to the customer.

### How to create a link

1. In the "Payments" section, click "Create Payment Link".&#x20;
2. Choose the project, currency, and invoice amount.
3. Optionally set the invoice's validity period — from 3 to 24 hours. The cryptocurrency exchange rate is locked for this period.
4. Optionally change the list of currencies available for paying this invoice.<br>

5. Get the ready-made link and send it to the customer — in a chat, an email, or a messenger.

### When this is convenient

* A one-off payment for a specific customer — without creating a separate invoice through your website.
* Accepting payments in cases where integration isn't set up and isn't planned.
* Individual invoices with a non-standard set of payment methods.

### How it differs from a widget's permanent link

A one-off payment link is created for a specific invoice (a specific amount and validity period) and is used once. The permanent link from the [HTML payment widget](/integration/html-widget.md) is reusable, with the same settings every time it's opened; suitable for placing in a profile description, a channel, or on a landing page.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://support.trybit.com/payments/payment-links.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
