2FA
Learn how to enable two-factor authentication in Trybit.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of account protection: even if your password becomes known to a third party, they won't be able to log in to your account or perform a sensitive operation without a code from an authenticator app.
Which operations require 2FA
withdrawing funds from your balance (see Withdrawing Funds);
adding a new saved withdrawal address (see Saved and Trusted Addresses);
creating and changing auto-withdrawal rules (see Auto-Withdrawal).
How to enable 2FA
In your dashboard, open "Settings" → "Security."
Enter your account password and click "Enable 2FA."
Save the manual-setup backup code somewhere secure — you'll need it if you run into trouble accessing your authenticator app.
Scan the QR code in your authenticator app (for example, Google Authenticator).
Enter the six-digit code from the app to confirm.
If the code from the app doesn't work
The most common cause is a time mismatch on your device. In your authenticator app's settings, enable time synchronization (in Google Authenticator, via the sync-with-Google-server setting) and try again.
If you've lost access to your 2FA device
Contact Trybit support — 2FA cannot be disabled on your own without access to the authenticator app.
