# Currency Conversion (Exchange)

How to manually exchange currency on your balance via the "Exchange" section, and the terms of conversion.

The "Exchange" section is for manually converting any currency on your balance into another at the current rate. Unlike [autoconversion](/payments/auto-conversion.md), which is configured separately for each project and runs automatically as payments arrive, Exchange is a separate, global dashboard feature: it isn't tied to a specific project and is run manually whenever you need it. Important to note: this feature covers exchanges between available balances of different currencies within your dashboard.

### How it works

1. In your dashboard, open the [«Exchange»](https://app.trybit.com/exchange) section.
2. Specify which currency you want to exchange ("You give") and which you want to receive ("You get") — or use the "Exchange All" option to convert your entire available balance in that currency.
3. The system shows the rate and fee — confirm the request.
4. The exchanged funds arrive on your balance within a few minutes.

### Exchange terms

* more than 1,500 currency pairs are available;
* processing usually takes 2 to 20 minutes;
* the minimum amount for an exchange is the equivalent of 10 USD (smaller amounts aren't converted at all);
* there's no maximum amount, though minimum limits may vary by specific currency;
* a network fee is charged on the exchange amount.

{% hint style="info" %}
This feature involves exchanging through partner exchange services. Exchange terms may vary depending on the amount and the currency pair chosen.

Not sure where to start? Use the knowledge base search (🔍the search icon in the page header) — it's often faster than browsing manually, especially given the volume of material.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://support.trybit.com/withdrawals/exchange.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
